Understanding Your Analytics

See how your social accounts are performing, which posts work best and the best day to post, all from the Analytics page.

Karl Fountain·

The Analytics page shows how each of your connected social accounts is performing: reach, engagement, follower growth, your top posts and the best day to post.

Open it from Analyze/Engage > Analytics in the left-hand menu.

Supported platforms

Analytics is available for:

  • Facebook Pages
  • Instagram
  • LinkedIn (company pages and personal profiles)
  • YouTube
  • TikTok
  • Pinterest
  • Threads

Other connected accounts don't appear in the account picker on this page.

Viewing an account's analytics

  1. Click an account's picture in the bar at the top of the page.
  2. Choose a time period: 90D, 30D, 7D, Yesterday or Custom. For a custom range, pick the start and end dates.

ℹ️ If you've just connected an account, its data may take a few minutes to appear. If you see No data available, check back a little later.

What you'll see

The exact sections depend on what each platform shares with CoPost, but most accounts show:

SectionWhat it tells you
Headline numbersThe main figures for the period, such as views, impressions, engagement or followers, compared with the previous period
Engagement MixHow people engaged: likes or reactions, comments, shares, saves and so on
Daily Performance and Rolling TrendsHow the numbers changed day by day, with a running average to smooth out spikes
Follower TrendsFollowers at the start and end of the period, the net change, and the average per day
Best Day to PostWhich days of the week your posts tend to do best
Top PostsYour best-performing posts in the period. Posts made with CoPost are marked.
Audience DemographicsAge, gender, top countries and top cities, where the platform provides them

Some platforms have extra sections:

  • Facebook: Page performance, a reactions breakdown, organic versus paid, and video performance
  • YouTube: watch time, average view duration, subscribers gained and lost, traffic sources, playback locations and devices
  • Pinterest: performance by board
  • LinkedIn: video analytics
  • TikTok: daily tracking of your posted videos. TikTok only reports totals, so CoPost tracks the daily changes from the day you connect.

If you switch on Shorten Links in Settings > Brand Space, links in your posts are shortened to tinyfi.me links when they're published. Analytics then shows a Link Clicks section with:

  • How many links you published
  • Total and average clicks per link
  • Your most clicked link
  • Clicks for your top 15 links

Frequently asked questions

Why don't my numbers match the platform's own app exactly? Platforms update their figures at different times, and some count things slightly differently in their own apps. Small differences are normal.

Why is an account missing from Analytics? Either the platform isn't supported yet, or the account needs reconnecting. Check the Integrations page for any account showing Needs reconnection.

Why has my data stopped updating? Check that the account is still connected. Analytics also stops updating if your subscription has lapsed.
