This walkthrough shows step by step how to add your first social account to CoPost.
Karl Fountain•
We use Facebook in this example but this guide can be used for any social media platform
Walkthrough
- Head over to the Socials area from the left-hand navigation menu

- Click Connect on the social platform that you would like to add, here we will choose Facebook

- Click Go to Facebook after scanning the info in the popup

- For platforms like Facebook and Instagram, you can opt to only give CoPost access to certain Business accounts.
Make sure at least the business account that owns the Page is selected for access or just choose "all" if you are unsure.
You can then choose which pages CoPost can access, again, make sure that at least the page you would like to connect is selected or choose all.

- You will be presented with a list of permissions that CoPost will be granted, these permissions are very important in order for the app to be able to post your content and retrieve analytics/comments etc.
Some social platforms at this stage will give you an option to select individual permissions, make sure that all checkboxes are selected in this instance

- Click Connect

- If connecting a Facebook Page, Instagram profile or a LinkedIn account, you will be presented with a multi-select dialog, here you can choose one or multiple pages to connect.

- Once finished, your account will show in the Socials area

Sometimes social media accounts can become disconnected, this can be due to the length of time they have been connected or if you change your password, this is a security feature that the social platform i.e. Meta implement to keep your account safe. If this happens, you can reconnect your account using the refresh icon
- Now we can head over to composer to start a post

- Select the newly connected account to start a post

You can now use this social account all over CoPost such as automations, analytics, social inbox etc
