Adding a Fallback Image to an Auto Feed Automation
Auto Feed allows you to select a fallback image in case one can't be found or to post to platforms that need an image.

What is this for?
Auto Feed allows you to connect post slot collections that contain any platform, while it's best to keep the platforms inline with the type of post, sometimes you may want to set up an auto feed as a link post but also post to Instagram or TikTok for example. This would normally fail because Instagram requires some form of media.
There may also be times when an auto feed is set up as an image post but an image cannot be found..
How Smart Fallback images work
Simply put, if there are any scenarios like above, your fallback image will be used where an image is required.
How to use the Feature
- Edit an existing automation
- Turn on Smart image Fallback
- You can now either select an existing image directly from media manager
- Or you can drop a new image over the media manager window from your computer and then use that image
- Save your automation (No need to Re-Process!)
- This new setting will be applied to all existing posts in the queue and all new posts created by the automation
Things to Note
- You will need to make sure that the fallback image is suitable for the social platforms that are in the post slot collection.
This troubleshooting feature is in it's infancy and we are expending further to make it even smarter by allowing multiple images with different dimensions to accommodate any platform. More updates on that to come 😊
