Posting to Pinterest with CoPost
How to connect a Pinterest Business account, set a default board and add Pin titles and links in Composer.
Before you connect
You'll need a Pinterest Business account. CoPost connects whichever Pinterest account you're logged in to in your browser, so check you're logged in to the right one first.
Connecting Pinterest
- Go to Manage > Integrations and click Connect on Pinterest.
- Accept the permissions Pinterest asks for.
Want to connect a different Pinterest account? Go to Pinterest, log out, log in with the account you want, then come back to CoPost and connect again.
Setting a default board
Every Pin has to go on a board. On the Integrations page, choose a default board for each Pinterest account. Posts will go to that board unless you pick a different one in Composer.
Pinterest options in Composer
When you select a Pinterest account in Composer, you can set:
- Board: the board this Pin goes on.
- Pinterest Title: optional. The headline shown on the Pin.
- Pin URL: optional. Where people go when they click the Pin, such as your website or a product page.
Good to know
- Each Pin needs exactly 1 image or video.
- Descriptions can be up to 500 characters.
