About Etsy and the Bulk Post Creator
CoPost's bulk creator allows you to input your Etsy Store URL and then cherry pick items straight from the products, You can choose whether to let AI create the captions or define a reusable caption template using variables.
How is this different from an Etsy Auto Feed
There are benefits to each method of importing Etsy store items, to check out how to fully automate your Etsy store, see the document How to Set up a Etsy Auto Feed
Using the bulk post creator with your Etsy store acts as a single import of one or more items from the store, this is good if you want to:
- Manually import products at any given time
- Have more control over the Scheduled date for each individual post
- Have more control over the platforms to assign to each individual post
- Import items as draft posts
You can basically change any aspect of the imported post before it is imported into CoPost
Steps to Set up an Etsy import
First Steps
- Head over to the Bulk Post Creator area.
- Click on the Import button and choose Etsy
- Add the Shop URL and name into the dialog and hit View Products
- Add either the store's main URL or a section of the store
Fine Tuning the Import Settings
- Whilst the product previews are imported, you can adjust the settings for when we create the actual posts
1. Choose whether AI should create the captions, leave the switch off to use your own template
2. Use the variables presented inside the caption, this is necessary for both AI captions or your own template
The variables will be transformed into the actual data from the store product
3. Choose the type of post, Etsy has three options, Single image, Multi image or Link Post
4. Hit Save
Adding Items to the Bulk Import Queue
- From the feed preview on the left, simply click on the items that you would like to import
- CoPost will then start building the posts and adding them to the bulk import queue
Next Steps - Adding Extra Post Settings
- Now that we have the posts in the upload queue, we can proceed in a few different ways
1. Import the posts as they are
2. Apply a Post Slot Collection to the posts
3. Apply a group of default socials
4. Manually edit the settings of each post
1. Import the Posts as they are
- Simply click the Create button in the top right-hand side of the screen to import the posts as concepts
2. Apply a Post Slot Collection
Each post will have the properties of the collection applied
This step requires you to have at least one post slot collection set up that contains a posting plan schedule and a set of default socials
Read more about setting up a post slot collection Here
- Click on the Apply Plan button and select the collection from the dropdown menu
- This will apply the default socials from the collection to each post and also apply the next available queue slot to each post in chronological order
- The status indicator on the right hand side of each post should have turned Orange meaning that the posts are valid and ready to be scheduled
3. Apply a group of Default Socials
Choose on the spot what socials to apply to the posts
- Click on the Apply Socials button to open the settings dialog
- Choose the social platforms to apply and click save
- The socials will then be applied to all posts in the upload queue
4. Manually edit the settings of each post
Each post in the upload queue can be edited inline, this can take longer but gives more granular control over each posts settings
- Add media, edit the subject, caption, socials, schedule by clicking on the edit button
You can also drag media from your computer and drop over the media dropzone in a post to add
Bonus Feature
- If you have added a schedule to the posts and would like to do a last minute swap around, drag and drop to hot-swap the posts using the drag handle on the left-hand side of the post
- Simply drag the posts you would like to swap over the post that you would like to swap with and the scheduled dates will swap
