What is a Wordpress Feed

A WordPress feed, also known as an RSS feed, is a way to automatically send content from a WordPress site to subscribers and other platforms. RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication or RDF Site Summary.

CoPost can connect to a Wordpress feed and pull in any content that is finds in the feed

About Wordpress and the Bulk Post Creator

CoPost's bulk creator allows you to input your Wordpress feed URL and then cherry pick items straight from the feed, You can choose whether to let AI create the captions or define a reusable caption template using variables.

How is this different from a Wordpress Auto Feed

There are benefits to each method of importing Wordpress feed items, to check out how to fully automate your Wordpress feed, see the document How to Set up a Wordpress Auto Feed

Using the bulk post creator with your Wordpress feed acts as a single import of one or more items from the feed, this is good if you want to:

  • Manually import items at any given time
  • Have more control over the Scheduled date for each individual post
  • Have more control over the platforms to assign to each individual post
  • Import items as draft posts

You can basically change any aspect of the imported post before it is imported into CoPost

Steps to Set up a Wordpress import

First Steps

  • Head over to the Bulk Post Creator area.
  • Click on the Import button and choose Wordpress

Fine Tuning the Import Settings

  • Whilst the feed item previews are imported, you can adjust the settings for when we create the actual posts

1. Choose whether AI should create the captions, leave the switch off to use your own template

2. Use the variables presented inside the caption, this is necessary for both AI captions or your own template

The variables will be transformed into the actual data from the feed item

3. Choose the type of post, Wordpress has two options, Single image or Link Post

4. Hit Save
